Christmas has come and gone. Now we await the arrival of a new year. I am blessed to be surrounded by loving family and dear friends. This year is the 65th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. Having been there for it, I am reminded of those long cold days as I sit by the warm fire with family.
Today on Youtube I was again told by another user that I am not really a veteran and who did I think I was fooling. To me this is very funny. I mostly post on the videos relating to places and events I was a part of. So this fellow tells me I was not at the battle for Carentan. That is fascinating to me. How could this guy come up with this? Just someone who likes to make comments and has no idea who anyone is. It is kind of sad, really.
Tomorrow I will try to post a bt more about Carentan and what really happened there in 1944.
Merry Christmas to all!

I served in the United States Army from 1942 until 1967. Upon my retirement I went into the real estate business and was active in that until 2002. Now I am enjoying retirement. I am learning how to blog, and have a YouTube account that I use to look at all kinds of videos. Please check back as I plan to post here as often as I can.
